The hostory of Fritkot Max goes back to the middle of the XIXth century. Records have been found about Max’ fritkot in Antwerp city archives, stating he already sold fries in 1842.
After a lot of research and based upon historical documents, the original friesshop has been rebuilt and placed into an historical building located on the wellknown Antwerp Groenplaats
Great attention has been given to details referring to the original location, creating the impression of an open-air setting: streetfurniture, old lighting and a permanent blue sky! You “are” outside...but “in” a building. Quiet surrealistic, but taht is typical Belgian too!
